The Queen Mary II: we installed more than 500 bathrooms in this iconic ocean liner. The Queen Mary was built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire for Cunard. At 345 metres long, it was the largest ship at that time. Altor worked with the shipyards to design the pods to withstand the marine environment and meet the strict requirements of Solas standards. The pods use a rock wool sandwich panel technology. We also routinely outfit the ships built by Aker Yards and the DCN naval shipyards. The shipyards were greatly impressed by our integrated production line, which was a decisive factor for them in choosing the prefabricated solution.
